Executive Team Planning at Global Telecoms Company
The Need
As a result of an acquisition, the Senior Leadership Team responsible for driving business performance in EMEA was eventually comprised of executives from both organizations – and from seven different nationalities. The challenge: to align the team around key business issues and help them agree on their diverse priorities. They needed to work together to achieve demanding goals while dealing with rapid change and integration.
The Piñon Group Approach
We used a System Mapping® process to highlight critical areas of alignment – and non-alignment. This visual process focused upon team perceptions and facts, while avoiding polarizing positions. It enabled the Senior Leadership Team to accelerate their understanding of key issues, overcome cross-cultural challenges, and quickly identify critical actions for success. After investing only a few hours, they were able to integrate more rapidly, align the team around key issues, and collaborate effectively.
